Vintage Maxi Dresses – Etsy and eBay

Hello again, it’s been a while, a month to be exact. Whenever I’m stuck for a subject I think back to wise words from my journalist friend – ‘write about what interests you’.

Right now, it’s my growing collection of gorgeous vintage maxi dresses. I’ve been scouring eBay and Etsy and here are my fabulous finds so far. A vintage maxi dress is certainly a summer wardrobe essential. At your next party or girls lunch you should make an entrance by pairing your vibrant printed or brightly coloured dress with a pair of favourite wedges and some chunky jewellery.

Vintage Maxi Dress Finds On Etsy & eBay

Before I start I need to tell you about a fabulous website vintageJS that adds awesome retro and vintage style to images. It’s so easy to use and the result is very groovy indeed. I’ve used it on this post as you can see.

The first favourite maxi is a stunning dress I found 18 months ago on eBay. It was a bargain at $30 and I’ve worn it at least six times so I’ve certainly got my money’s worth. Not the best picture of me but you can see how beautiful the dress is, worn here with a vintage style diamanté brooch. I recently had the dress taken up so it’s not strictly a maxi any more, but at least I get more use out of it.

These two beautiful dresses below are a more recent Etsy purchase. I’m looking forward to making a statement at a party, NYE perhaps. Check out Fast Eddie’s Retro Rags and Whimsy Ville for more fab dresses and other vintage items.

This hot coral beauty is also an Etsy find and the colour is just so now.

Despite a mixed bag of comments on Facebook I went ahead and bought this beautiful floral number. It’s currently winging it’s way to Sydney from the US. I’ll wear it with a 1970’s style cinch belt and leather platforms like the model in this picture.

Below is a pic of a cute vintage maxi dress from the 1970’s. It’s a bright spring green and covered with ditsy flowers. I’d buy this but alas it’s too small for me.

This beautiful Hawaiian maxi would really get you noticed. I guess it helps to be tall and beautiful like the model in this picture.

One last amazing chiffon dress. Not something I would dare to wear but beautiful nonetheless.

I gave myself until 11 pm tonight to finish and publish this post, it’s now 11.07…

Enjoy! x
